Rocky Mountain Chapter attendees of the SCBWI LA conference, please join us for a fiesta lunch on Friday August 3rd at Rosa Mexicano! Pre-registration required  

Last day to register is July 31, 2018!

WHO:  For RMC SCBWI attendees of the 2018 Los Angeles Summer Conference. Connect with your region at our lunchtime gathering! If you’d like to bring a friend, please have your guest pre-pay and register, too.

WHEN:  Friday, August 3, 2018, 12:40-1:40

WHERE: Rosa Mexicano outdoor patio, 800 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90015  ***The restaurant is easy walking distance (only one-tenth of a mile) from the the conference venue at JW Marriott Live.***

HOW:  Pre-registration required. $21.00 per person INCLUDES all the starters, meal, dessert, soft drink, tax, and gratuity!

Menu: It’s a fiesta! You don’t have to choose, you may sample EVERYTHING listed on our special RMC SCBWI menu. Please note: We regret that we are unable to accommodate any special dietary restrictions for this gathering as everything will be served family style.

Served Family style

Guacamole en Molcajete
Since 1984, Rosa’s has been preparing freshly made guacamole with avocado, jalapeño, tomato, onion and cilantro. Served with warm tortilla chips and homemade salsa.
ANTOJITOS – served family style
Empanadas de Pollo con Chorizo 
Corn masa empanadas stuffed with shredded chicken, Mexican chorizo and Menonita cheese, with mestiza crema.
Flautas de Pollo
Crispy corn tortillas filled with chicken tinga with salsa pasilla de Oaxaca, salsa verde, queso fresco and crema.
PLATILLOS PRINCIPALES– served family style
TACOS 
Vegetales Tacos
Roasted cauliflower, kale, corn, poblanos and slow-cooked Mexican peppers.
ENCHILADAS
Mestiza Enchiladas
Chipotle-braised beef with mestiza sauce, crema, cilantro, pickled habanero onion and queso fresco.
ESPECIALES 
Quesadilla de Camarones

Baja shrimp sautéed with ancho chile, garlic and lime.  With a blend of Mexican cheeses.

Churros con Dos Salsa
Hot Mexican doughnuts dusted with sugar and cinnamon. Served with chocolate and raspberry dipping sauces.
