Lisa Kaniut Cobb is happy to announce her story “Something Fishy” was chosen to be included in the new anthology, THE OFFICES OF SUPERNATURAL BEING, to be released November 30 by 4 Horsemen Publications. It is based on her series “The Netahs.” Click here for more information.

Chronicle Books has acquired THE OFFRENDA THAT WE BUILT, by Jolene Gutiérrezand her daughter Shaian. Publication is set for Fall 2024.

Annie Herzig won SCBWI’s Narrative Art Award, with an all-expense paid trip to the Winter Conference in February! The theme was “Tiny Wonders” and you can see her winning illustrations on display during the New York Portfolio Showcase (in conjunction with the New York conference).

Haven Iverson, author of the picture book SLOW DOWN, TUMBLEWEED, is now represented by Rachel Orr at The Prospect Agency.

Heather Brockman Lee’s second picture book as an illustrator is out now wherever books are sold! Written by Katey Howes and published by The Innovation Press, A POEM GROWS INSIDE YOU is a beautifully written, rhyming exploration of the pitfalls and joys that accompany the creative urge.

Our Sunday Visitor has acquired Claudia Cangilla McAdam’s chapter book, NIGHT OF THE AUGUST SNOW, which recounts the legend behind the founding of Rome’s Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. A miraculous snowfall on August 5, 358 is said to have indicated the site on which the church should be built.

Nancy Oswald‘s book BATS, BANDITS AND BUGGIES won the Gold in the Will Rogers Western Medallion Youth Fiction awards.

QUIET IS STRENGTH, written by NY Times Bestselling author Mary Rand Hess and illustrated by Dow Phumiruk, has been acquired by Lauri Hornik at Rocky Pond Books for publication Spring of 2025.

Jan Pratt’s second book, AMALEIGHA LOVES A GOOD STORY, was recently released on Amazon. Amaleigha loves to visit her school library. Laura Resau’s upcoming picture book, co-authored with the Indigenous Ecuadorian leader, Patricia Gualinga, and titled STAND AS TALL AS THE TREES: HOW AN AMAZONIAN COMMUNITY PROTECTED THE RAIN FOREST (Charlesbridge, July 2023, English and Spanish versions), was chosen as a Junior Library Guild Selection.
