Fleur Bradley’s middle-grade MIDNIGHT AT THE BARCLAY HOTEL, in which five murder suspects are invited to the haunted hotel, and it’s up to two tag-along kids – and a ghost – to figure out who committed the crime, sold to Kendra Levin at Viking Children’s, with Aneeka Kalia editing.

 

Juleah del Rosario’s forthcoming young adult novel, TURTLE UNDER ICE, has been chosen as a Junior Library Guild Selection for 2020.

 

First Laugh, Welcome Baby! by Rose Tahe and Nancy Bo Flood, illustrated by Jonathan Nelson, was selected for the White Raven list of recommended international literature. Selected books reflect “aesthetic and literary quality and principles of cultural education.” This year’s list features 200 titles in 37 languages from 59 countries.

 

Megan E. Freeman’s debut middle-grade novel, Lone Girl, has been acquired by Simon & Schuster/Aladdin. A secret sleepover turns into a nightmarish adventure when Madeleine is left alone in a suburban town that has been mysteriously evacuated. Publication slated for 2021. Deborah Warren at East West Literary brokered the deal.

 

Trish Holland, a recent transplant from Dallas, is happy to announce another sale to Little Golden Books at Penguin Random House. Trish’s eighth Little Golden Book, Saddle the Sun, will pub in 2022. Big thanks to all her critique group friends.

 

Jim Kroepfl’s dystopian short story “The Patch” was selected to be in the Northern Colorado Writers published book, “Rise: An Anthology of Change.” The anthology includes fifty-seven short stories and poems, and is available on Amazon. Jim plans to expand his story into a young adult novel.

 

Jennie MacDonald’s tribute to Anne of Green Gables, “The Story Club Redux,” was published in Eastern Iowa Review’s All Things Anne: The Green Gables Fan Issue

 

Jean Reidy’s picture book TRUMAN is a Parents’ Choice Gold Award Winner, an Amazon Best Books of 2019 Selection, a Kirkus Best Books of 2019 Selection, a School Library Journal Best Books of 2019 Selection and winner of The Northern Lights Book Award.

 

After several years of creating cards and calendars for several publishers, Jo Renfro decided to pursue her dream of breaking into the children’s book market. After much research, and stumbling around, she is now represented by Samantha Wekstein of Thompson Literary. Woohoo!!

 

Wendi Silvano has signed a two-book deal with Two Lions Publishing for the fifth and sixth books in her TURKEY TROUBLE series. Due out in Summer 2021 will be TURKEY GOES TO SCHOOL, and due out in early 2022 will be TURKEY-TINE (a Valentines’ Day adventure for Turkey).
