Jean Marie Alfieri’s collection of short-story rhyming poems, starring that often mischievous and always lovable Pug named Zuggy, was released in December!  Zuggy the Pug’s Six Tales was published by Newman Springs. A digital version will be available soon for Kindle.

 

Karen Cotton’s new Christmas chapter book, Carol and Santa, that she self-published is going to be made into an animated movie. More details can be found on her website as information becomes available. She will also be featured on Wyoming PBS and Wyoming Public Radio in the spring.

 

THE COLORADO COAL FIELD WAR: MASSACRE AT LUDLOW, a non fiction book for grades 6 and up, by K.D. Huxman, was released in November. More info can be found at apprenticeshopbooks.com.

 

On January 19, Heather Sappenfield will teach a class on young adult techniques at Pacific University’s low-res MFA in Writing Program in Oregon. On January 18, she will conduct a craft talk/interview on perspectives with author R.O. Kwon. You can find out more about Pacific University’s top-ranked MFA program here.

David R Slayton’s young adult fantasy GHOST DRAGON will be published in January 2020 by Harmony Ink Press: Reyn, an apprentice mage, must solve the murder of his seditious master while uncovering secrets that force him to choose between his empire and the mundane province of the boy he loves.
